Valmistuuko sukka nopeammin jos sille huutaa "valmistu nyt sukka!!" ? / Will socks be finished sooner if you yell at them "Finish now sock!!" ?

Testasin yhtenä iltana josko sukat valmistuisivat nopeammin jos niille huudahtaa että "valmistu nyt sukka!!". Vaimo nauratti kovasti ja tuloskin jäi vähäiseksi. Mutta kyllä se sukka sitten aikanaan valmistui. Jaywalkerit vaativat vähän säätämistä, tein ohjeen isommalla koolla varren ja pienemmällä koolla kantapään sekä jalkaterän. Ensimmäisen sukan tein tosin ensin kokonaan isomman koon mukaan sillä seurauksella että siitä tuli kauhean iso ja ruma. Joten päätin kokeilla toisessa sukassa miten käy jos tekee varren isompana ja sitten viimeiselle kerroksella ennen kantapäätä kaventaa pienempään kokoon. Koska se toimi enemmän kuin hyvin, purin toisen sukan kantapäähän ja tein jalkaterän uusiksi. Näin sain ihanat sukat. :)

I tested few days ago if a sock finishes faster if you yell to them "finish now sock!!", to my wife's amusement. Results were quite scarce. The sock did eventually finish, though. Jaywalker's needed a bit of adjustment, I did the leg following patterns bigger size and changed to the smaller size to make heel and feet. I did the first sock entirely in the bigger size but it was too big at the heel. So I decided to try at the second sock what would happen if I would do the heel and feet in the smaller size. It worked well so I frogged the first sock to the heel and knitted it again. And the result is a lovely pair of socks. :)

Tangled yoke edistyy ja ensimmäinen hiha on jo tehty. Kroppaosakin on jo siinä kohtaa että levenee taas, tosin sitä saa tikutella kyllä vielä hetken aikaa koska kerros kestää hetkisen verran.

Tangled yoke is coming along, I have already finished first sleeve and body is at the point where I'm doing increases. It will be a while though before it's finished since it takes quite much time to knit one round.


Puikoille pääsivät myös Endpaperit Lanettista. Neulon ensimmäistä kertaa Lanettia ja voi kuinka ihana lanka se onkaan!

I started Endpapers as well for Sandesgarn Lanett. It my firs touch with this yarn and it is so lovely and so soft!
