sukkaa pukkaa / socks on the way

Tykkään eriparisukista mutta ajattelin kuitenkin neuloa näille parit. Niinko samanlaisen parin.

I like mismatched socks but I think I'll knit these two pairs. Matching pairs.

Sukkien kuvaaminen on haasteellista. Varsinkin kun sukka on omassa jalassa ja kuvaa itse. Pitää joskus ottaa kuvia siitä miten kuvaan sukkia. Vaarallisia tilanteita ja naurua riittää.

Photographing socks is quite challenging. Especially when the sock is in your own foot and you're taking the pictures yourself. Some day I must take pictures of that project. Laughter and dangerous situations!


Itsekoolatusta langasta on tulossa ihanaiset Elfinet (pdf), kivan tyttömäiset semmoiset. Hieman häviää pitsi tuonne väritykseen mutta ei haittaa! Suloiset näistä tulee ja käyttöä riittää.

These are Elfines(pdf), I have dyed the yarn myself with kool aid. Pretty girly socks. Lace doesn't show as much at it maybe should since the coloring but I don't mind. These are going to be cute and I'll know they will be used.


Laikan varastosta varastettu sisu on saanut uuden muodon Wanderin cables-ohjeen myötä. Kiva neuloa vaihteeksi palmikkoa sukkaan, sen verran monet pitsisukat tässä on viime aikoina tullut tehtyä.

I stole skein of Sisu from Laika's stash and these will be Wandering cable socks (from Jeanie Townsend yahoo-group). It's fun to knit cables in a socks for change, so many pairs of lace socks have been knitted resently.


Tekee kovin mieli neuloa sukkia! Kuvan admiral kotiutui meille Rosa Matildasta alkuviikosta, siitä tulee Vinnlandit. Oli ihan pakko saada lankaa jossa on vyötteessä kissa. Kool aidit tilasin Muksuaitasta, ne värjäävät Titan woolin babyt ja hjerten sukkalangat ihanaisen karkkisiksi uusia sukkia varten. Titan wool babysta tulee luultavasti baudelairet ja hjertestä mango-kylvyn jälkeen Laikalle sukat.

I really want to knit socks now! Rust Adrimal was ordered from Rosa Matilda, I just had to have it since there is a cat on the label! I'm thinking that I'll make Vinnlands from that. I ordered also some kool aid, those are for the Titan wool baby and hjerte 4 sock skeins. I'm thinking of making Baudelaire's from the Titan wool baby and hjerte is for Laika's socks, it will be dyed with mango.
